Price Comparison & Affiliate Content Platform
Products, buying guides and affiliate links managed through a tailored WordPress CMS
Client
Thai media group

For a Thai media group launching a consumer-facing comparison service, Outsourcify delivered a responsive price comparison, content and affiliate platform built on WordPress: global search, product categories, detailed product pages, a dedicated credit card section, buying guides and vendor directories. The site is fully bilingual, serving English and Thai content through WPML.

Challenge
The first phase had to run entirely on manual curation — no third-party price APIs, no automation — so the editorial team needed a CMS that makes maintaining products, brands, affiliate links and articles fast and error-proof, while keeping the public site quick and SEO-friendly. The project also restarted after an earlier engagement was cut short: in early 2026 we ran a complete UX/UI redesign of the home page, presenting three creative directions and custom mascot concepts, before development resumed under a tighter, well-defined scope.
Solution
We tailored WordPress into a structured comparison CMS: products, brands, tags, affiliate placements, articles, vendor listings, member accounts and review moderation are all managed from one back office, with WPML handling English and Thai content side by side. The public site combines global search, category browsing and product detail pages with descriptions, branding, tags, manually managed affiliate links and user reviews. A custom mascot sets the visual tone of the home page, while a credit card hub — built as static templates to fit the phase-one budget — and editorial buying guides round out the content offer. Members register and manage their profiles through WordPress's standard user system, and moderators approve or reject submitted ratings, comments and images before publication. Scope discipline kept the phase focused: advertising, insurance directories, discussion threads and AI review summaries were explicitly deferred. Development ran through local and Cloudways staging environments, and user acceptance testing completed with the deliverable formally accepted on July 1, 2026.

A Mascot-Led Home for Smarter Shopping
The home page sets the tone with the custom mascot developed during the 2026 redesign: a friendly cloud character that guides visitors through "smarter price comparison" across Shopee, Lazada, TikTok and top retailers. A global search bar with category scoping sits above a sixteen-category grid — from laptops and cameras to fashion and pet supplies — alongside a filterable news and articles feed, Best Price highlights and trending products ranked by views, all fully bilingual through WPML.

Category Listings Built for Comparison
Category pages pair a deep filter sidebar — price range, promotion type, brand, marketplace, CPU, RAM, storage, screen size and user rating — with a "Best Price" carousel that medals the top deals of the moment. Product cards surface the data shoppers compare first: current price, discount badge, view counts and how many offers are available. Related buying guides slot directly into the listing, so editorial content supports the purchase decision right where it happens.

Product Pages That Route to the Best Offer
Each product page ranks the marketplaces carrying the item — price, promotion and free-shipping flags side by side — with medal badges for the cheapest offers and manually managed affiliate links routing every "go to store" click. Tabs organise product details and user reviews, which moderators approve or reject from the CMS before publication. Related products, related articles and a member-discount banner keep visitors moving through the catalogue.

A Dedicated Credit Card Hub
Beyond products, PriceTag compares the cards people pay with. The credit card space filters 150+ cards by bank, card level, payment network, minimum income, annual fee and rating, with a Highlights carousel and a Top 10 Most Popular ranking. Card cells summarise the decision drivers — annual fee, income requirement, points, cashback and perks — and to respect the phase-one budget the whole section runs on static templates kept structurally independent of the dynamic CMS.

Card Detail Pages Built for Decisions
Every card gets a structured profile: credit limit, interest rate, interest-free period, minimum payment, annual fee conditions, cash advance fee, emergency cash limit and the issuer's call center, organised under Card Overview, Benefits & Privileges, Requirements, Documents and Reviews tabs. The layout mirrors the product pages, so shoppers compare financial products with the same ease as electronics — and the editorial team maintains everything from one WordPress back office.
