For Finetunes Music Co., Ltd., Outsourcify built Finetunes (finetunes.app), a B2B music-tech platform that lets shops, hotels and restaurants play legal, curated background music at a fraction of the cost of traditional public performance licensing. The mobile-first web application is built with Vue.js/Nuxt on a Node.js (Express) API with Prisma and PostgreSQL, audio is streamed through Cloudflare R2 and CDN, and Flutter apps cover iOS and Android.

Challenge
Businesses playing music publicly need licensed audio, tailored to their brand atmosphere, that keeps playing reliably all day — including when the internet doesn't. The catalog had to be protected against copying, in-store devices had to be locked down so staff can't misuse them, and both the platform and the music owners needed usage analytics. All of it had to run at low cost for hundreds of concurrent venues.
Solution
A three-step onboarding quiz profiles each venue's sound identity and matches it to one of eight curated playlist profiles, while a soundscape builder lets managers arrange playlists into a timeline with automated crossfades and a real-time interactive player. Streaming is protected end to end: tracks stored on Cloudflare R2 are served through short-lived signed URLs bound to the user's session, with player controls limited to play, pause and skip. The Flutter apps shipped in phases — first Google, Facebook and Apple SSO, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and a kiosk/lockdown mode that turns tablets into single-app corporate devices; then offline playback caching around 500MB of tracks for up to one month, with listening history synced automatically once back online and graceful fallback to the local cache if the server is unreachable. Organization-level multi-tenancy keeps private playlists bound to each business network, Stripe handles subscription billing with a 7-day trial, and the interface is fully bilingual English/Thai. A dedicated analytics sprint added Enterprise Admin and Music Owner dashboards, weekly usage emails and Mixpanel event tracking. The MVP web application launched in summer 2025.

A Personalized Atmosphere for Every Venue
Each business starts with a three-step onboarding quiz that profiles its sound identity — instrumental or vocal, energetic or chill, textured or minimal — and matches it to one of eight curated playlist profiles. The result becomes the venue's "My PlayPoint" home: a dashboard of new releases and recommended playlists next to a real-time interactive player. Controls are deliberately limited to play, pause and skip, and every track is served through short-lived signed Cloudflare R2 URLs bound to the user's session, so the catalogue cannot be scrubbed, copied or hot-linked.

Soundscape Builder & Playlist Queue
Venue managers arrange curated playlists into a full-day soundscape: a drag-and-drop queue orders playlists into a timeline — six playlists covering twelve hours in a single view — with automated crossfades blending every transition. Track metadata, cover art and durations stay visible throughout, and one tap plays through the entire queue. Organization-level multi-tenancy binds private, custom-curated playlists to each business network, so proprietary selections never leak to accounts outside the organization.

Frictionless Onboarding with SSO
Getting a shop or restaurant listening takes minutes: accounts can be created with email or through Google, Facebook and Apple single-sign-on, and a free trial opens the full soundscape experience before any card is entered. The same authentication stack powers the Flutter mobile apps, where Apple Pay and Google Pay handle payment and a kiosk/lockdown mode turns tablets into single-app corporate devices — with offline caching keeping around 500MB of music playing for up to a month when the connection drops.

Transparent Subscriptions with Stripe
Billing runs on Stripe with embedded checkout, webhooks and multi-tier plans: a low-commitment Monthly Flex plan, an Annual Pro plan that rewards yearly commitment with two free months, and an Enterprise tier adding centralised HQ control, locked branch players, multi-play-point management and drilled-down per-venue analytics for chains. Every plan includes unlimited streaming and full commercial licensing — the legal cover that lets venues drop traditional public performance licensing entirely.

Enterprise Console & Usage Analytics
A dedicated console — "the workspace for music labels and enterprise teams" — gives Enterprise Admins and Music Owners their own secure entry point into the platform. A dedicated analytics sprint delivered dashboards for both roles, weekly usage summary emails and Mixpanel event tracking wired to persistent user and session identities, so rights holders can see exactly where and how their catalogue is played while the platform team follows adoption venue by venue.

Native Flutter Apps for iOS & Android
The same soundscape experience lives on mobile through Flutter apps for iOS and Android. Businesses onboard in seconds — email or Google, Facebook and Apple sign-in — and land on the same "My PlayPoint" home, with a persistent mini-player, a drag-to-order playlist queue and the full profile of business details behind it. Crucially for a venue whose Wi-Fi comes and goes, the apps cache a queue of playlists — here four playlists and 134 tracks, roughly 8.5 hours — for offline playback lasting up to a month, syncing listening history automatically once back online and adding a kiosk lockdown mode that turns a tablet into a single-app device.
