We’ve learned that a strong, positive culture significantly impacts employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention. From Internships to Long-term Careers

One of our most successful recruitment strategies has been our longstanding internship program. Thanks to strong ties with Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai—Kwanruedee’s alma mater—we’ve welcomed numerous interns over the years. Many interns have transitioned into full-time roles, growing professionally alongside the company.

Interns at Outsourcify benefit from structured mentoring and the opportunity to work on diverse projects tailored to their developing skills. Beginning with simpler tasks such as HTML/CSS projects, they gradually progress to more advanced programming tasks involving PHP, JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js, backend systems, and infrastructure management.

This structured progression helps junior developers steadily build their technical expertise and confidence. Many have evolved into key contributors, project managers, or senior technical specialists, highlighting the effectiveness of our internal growth and career development pathways.

Managing Team Challenges: Lessons Learned

No journey is without obstacles, and Outsourcify has experienced its share of challenging moments, particularly related to talent retention. One significant incident involved the sudden resignation of five team members simultaneously. They had been approached by a former colleague who offered significantly higher salaries elsewhere.

Though difficult, this event taught us valuable lessons about retention and team morale. It underscored the importance of maintaining competitive compensation while emphasizing a robust, supportive work culture. Since then, we’ve reinforced practices that nurture employee loyalty, including regular performance reviews, transparent communication, ongoing skill development opportunities, and a clearly defined career path.

Embracing Hybrid Work Models

The COVID-19 pandemic further shaped our approach to talent retention and team management. Initially challenging due to the necessity of paying for an underutilized office, the situation highlighted our flexibility and resilience as we seamlessly transitioned to remote work.

Post-pandemic, we adopted a hybrid working model, allowing our team two days per week to work remotely. This flexibility has been highly appreciated by our staff, helping maintain a healthy work-life balance and demonstrating our commitment to employee well-being.

After studying to become a Web Engineer at the UTBM in France, Benoit experienced working in various IT departments of large companies in Paris as a web developer then as a project manager before becoming a freelance web consultant in 2010, and finally co-founded Outsourcify in Thailand.
