The Apollo platform is an implementation of the GraphQL data query language that can transfer data between the cloud and the UI of an app.
GraphQL is only a data query language that has a reference implementation in JavaScript, but in order to use it easily, we need to use a platform that will do all the heavy lifting for us. One such platform is provided by Apollo, one of the most popular choices for using GraphQL in JavaScript applications. It is for example often used with a React.JS or Vue.Js frontend.
