Lekood offers customers an exclusive range of French culinary products – coming directly from the producers (local, traditional farmers and craftsmen from around the French countryside) – and deliver them to customers' doorsteps in the United Kingdom.

Outsourcify created the LeKood logo, designed and developed the online store with Wordpress and the WooCommerce e-commerce plugin.

The role of Outsourcify in the LeKood project

We worked with a corporation partner to improve the comprehensive UX/UI design and develop web and board of LeKood following the exact design. We helped to make a clear, efficient way to maintain the website even down to the tiniest details.

In addition, we offered the expertise of the e-commerce platform to our clients alongside the technical programming, maintenance and operation of the e-commerce site.

Direction of the UX/UI design

First of all, we put users in focus because the UX design for e-commerce is incredibly important on the way to more purchases. We prioritized content (categories, shopping cart, favorites list, log in, my account, etc.) and made it easily accessible from every page.

We aimed to create a simple and minimalistic user interface based on the brand image. We use corporate colors – brown and black to orange red – to elements consistently to indicate the image of LEKOOD. In addition, we designed the icons – friendly but simply lined – to highlight the main features of each page.

Best technology for E-Commerce

We adopted HTML/CSS and wordpress framework, but the website of LeKood is different from other websites because it is an e-commerce website. The customers can buy french products directly on the website.

In this case, we adopted “WooCommerce” and “Stripe” plugin to support e-commerce function.

The reasons why we use WooCommerce and Stripe because now they are the most popular and supportive e-commerce platform and the best software platform for online payments.

The summary of project

The most important asset of e-commerce companies is a well-optimized website that allows customers to find and buy the products they need in just a few clicks or taps on their screen.

We adopted our advanced technologies which e-commerce websites require to serve the products from the database, connect the store to payment gateways. In the end, we could make our customer satisfied with our work, and we are going to process an additional project with LeKood.
